ELLSWORTH SUPPLY CO., INC. opened for operation on
April 21, 1947 by Leo B. Raimondi. Ellsworth Supply was originally
located at the corner of Ellsworth Street and Dorchester Avenue in
a converted three story home. The company initially sold plumbing
fixtures, heating supplies, hardware, electrical supplies, and
paints. Through the years Mr. Raimondi found it necessary to
expand his business into a full line distributor of plumbing and
heating supplies.
The business is still family owned and operated but has moved
across the street from its original location. The owner’s pride
themselves on the fact that the original priorities of customer
service and customer satisfaction are still intact at Ellsworth. |
